1. General Provisions and Organizational Nature

The organization shall be officially known as the International Society of Applied Science, Technology and Engineering, hereinafter referred to as "ISASTE". ISASTE is instituted and operates exclusively as a voluntary, non-governmental, academic cooperative.

All institutional resources, intellectual property, and collaborative efforts of the Society shall be allocated solely in furtherance of its academic and scientific objectives. The Society is strictly dedicated to the global dissemination of knowledge and the facilitation of open engineering discourse. Members of the executive and advisory boards serve on a voluntary basis, driven by a commitment to scientific advancement.

2. Executive Governance Structure

To ensure absolute scientific objectivity and operational efficiency, ISASTE operates under a strict bicameral governance model, meticulously separating administrative duties from scientific oversight:

• The Executive Board: Serving as the principal governing body, this board holds the decision-making authority regarding the approval of sponsored conferences, the establishment of academic partnerships, and the appointment of regional chapter chairs. It ensures that the Society adheres to international legal compliance and operational standards.
• The Advisory Committee: Composed of distinguished academicians, Fellows, and recognized domain experts. This committee is purposefully isolated from daily administrative tasks. Instead, it acts as the intellectual compass of the Society, providing strategic oversight and ensuring that all ISASTE-sponsored events maintain rigorous scientific prestige.
• Technical Program Committees (TPC): For each specific conference technically co-sponsored by ISASTE, an ad-hoc TPC is formed. The TPC is strictly responsible for managing the double-blind peer-review process. It operates with absolute autonomy to ensure that the selection of manuscripts is based purely on academic merit, free from any external interference.

3. Membership Categories and Advancement

Membership is strictly curated for active principal investigators, researchers, and advanced graduate students who share a profound commitment to advancing the applied sciences. ISASTE implements an uncompromising, merit-based grading system designed solely to recognize genuine academic excellence and research contributions:

• Student Member: Open exclusively to individuals currently enrolled in accredited graduate programs (Master's or Ph.D. candidates). Student members are granted full access to the Society’s mentorship networks and digital archives, though they hold no voting rights regarding structural governance.
• Regular Member: Requires a minimum of a Ph.D. (or an equivalent terminal degree) in a STEM-related field. Exceptional candidates holding a Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years of verifiable, independent research experience may also be considered. Crucially, only Members holding a Ph.D. are eligible to serve on conference Technical Program Committees (TPC) to safeguard the integrity of the peer-review process.
• Senior Member: A prestigious grade requiring at least 10 years of post-doctoral professional practice and a documented record of leading independent research projects. Advancement to Senior Member requires formal nomination by existing Senior Members and a thorough academic review by the Executive Board.
• Fellow of ISASTE: The absolute highest grade of membership. Conferred exclusively by the Executive Board upon individuals with an extraordinary, internationally recognized record of academic accomplishments. The total number of Fellows selected annually is strictly capped to maintain the exclusivity and honor of the title.

4. Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Actions

All members, regardless of their grade, are required to conduct themselves in a manner that upholds the reputation, dignity, and scientific integrity of the Society. The Executive Board reserves the absolute right to suspend or permanently revoke the membership of any individual found guilty of academic fraud, plagiarism, data falsification, or any severe violation of the ISASTE Publication Ethics.

Disciplinary procedures are conducted transparently. Accused members are granted the right to a formal appeal and a hearing before a specially appointed, independent ethics tribunal before any final revocation is enacted.

5. Academic Partnerships and Co-Sponsorship

ISASTE fundamentally believes in collaborative growth. The Society actively seeks to establish Technical Co-Sponsorship agreements with accredited universities, research laboratories, and regional academic chapters.

When entering into a partnership to co-organize a symposium or conference, ISASTE commits to providing structural guidance, peer-review management protocols, and publication ethics oversight. The host institution retains primary operational control, while ISASTE guarantees that the scientific output meets the stringent criteria required by major international indexing databases.
