1. Society Overview

The International Society of Applied Science, Technology and Engineering (ISASTE) is an independent, non-profit professional association. We are a growing international cooperative of researchers, engineers, and academic practitioners dedicated to the applied sciences.

Rather than operating in isolation, ISASTE actively partners with universities, research institutes, and regional academic bodies. Our primary function is to facilitate technical communication, provide standardization in peer-review processes, and support international academic publishing.

Our Mission: To bridge the gap between theoretical research and applied engineering by supporting academic communication. We aim to provide technical sponsorship, peer-review management, and operational support to academic conferences globally, ensuring that regional events meet international scientific standards.

Our Vision: To build a reliable and inclusive academic network that connects early-career researchers with established academic institutions, fostering collaborative engineering solutions for real-world challenges.

To effectively direct our resources and support, ISASTE focuses on four dynamic and interdependent engineering domains:

  • Advanced Manufacturing & Materials Science: Additive manufacturing, nanotechnology, smart materials, and sustainable production frameworks.
  • Artificial Intelligence & Computing Systems: Machine learning algorithms, computer vision, cybersecurity, and cloud/edge computing.
  • Sustainable Energy & Environmental Engineering: Renewable energy harvesting, smart grids, energy storage, and environmental monitoring.
  • Mechatronics, Robotics & Automation: Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), human-robot interaction, sensor networks, and autonomous navigation.

5. Key Activities & Services

To actualize our mission, ISASTE focuses on providing structural and technical support to the global academic community:

  • Conference Co-Sponsorship & Organization Support: We actively partner with universities and local academic chapters to co-organize and technically sponsor international conferences. ISASTE provides the necessary infrastructural support—from peer-review management systems to publishing ethics oversight—ensuring that regional academic events are executed seamlessly.
  • Publishing Assistance: We assist organizing committees in managing the editorial workflow, ensuring that accepted proceedings and whitepapers are systematically formatted, archived, and prepared for evaluation by major global indexing databases.
  • Technical Committees (TCs): We form ad-hoc and permanent working groups to evaluate emerging research trends and provide academic guidance for conference themes.

6. Our Community and Commitment to Diversity

We are continuously building a supportive, equitable, and inclusive academic ecosystem. ISASTE recognizes that the future of engineering lies in the hands of today's young scholars.

We are particularly focused on empowering Early-Career Researchers (ECRs) and students. Whenever financially feasible, ISASTE strives to provide travel grants and registration subsidies for our co-sponsored events, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent promising young minds from participating in international discourse.

Furthermore, we systematically strive to amplify voices from the Global South and underrepresented demographics in STEM, aiming for geographical and demographic diversity within our technical program committees.
